Is a subject of prime importance in the course of homoeopathy & is studied all through 4 & ½ years of BHMS course. Our Institute also runs Post Graduate M.D. (Hom) in Homoeopathic Materia Medica, an 3 years regular course after graduation.

It is a subject which deals with the study of Homoeopathic Medicines - its origin, preparation, its effects of proving the drug substances on healthy human beings & then its effects upon a diseased person; and also the application of knowledge of disease to the knowledge of drug in practice.

As on today more than 5000 medicines are thoroughly proved and used for treating the sick & restoring them back to cure. Different sources are utilized for preparing the medicines - like vegetables, animals, chemicals, nosodes, sarcodes & imponderabilika (energy forms). As a matter of cact many of the poisonous fatal or dangerous substances have been converted into life saving medicine. i.e. “BANE turned in to a BOON”.

The department is equipped in all ways to make the students understand the subject more better, we have many Audio-Visual aids, C.D’s, transparencies, books in departmental library, charts, specimens & also case demonstrations. And also a very dedicated & qualified faculty who conducts lectures, tutorials, seminars, tests regularly & everready to guide the students.
